Why the Name FAUSTINA®? | FAUSTINA Brand Story
Our brand, FAUSTINA®, mostly refers to, and was inspired by, a roman empress bearing the name Faustina Minor (Full name: Annia Galeria Faustina Minor). Named after her mother, Faustina the Elder, she is estimated by historians to have been birthed on the 21st of September in 130 AD, born and raised in ancient Rome. She lived for many years up to her senior at approximately 45-50.
A Name with a Positive Heritage
The name FAUSTINA has its roots in Latin and is associated with the idea of being fortunate, favourable and auspicious. Its elegant sound and classical heritage made it a natural inspiration for a brand centred on beauty, confidence and personal care.

Inspired by Faustina the Younger
Annia Galeria Faustina, known today as Faustina the Younger, was the daughter of Roman Emperor Antoninus Pius and Faustina the Elder.
She married Marcus Aurelius in AD 145 and received the title Augusta in AD 147. When Marcus Aurelius later became emperor, Faustina became one of the most prominent women of the Antonine imperial family.
Centuries later, her name remains closely associated with Roman portraiture, refinement and the visual culture of the Antonine age.
